John A. Gibson, Esq is an Attorney, Entrepreneur and retired Athlete that specializes in providing legal and business advisory services to Businesses, Entrepreneurs, Athletes, Entertainers, and their support systems. Accordingly, he created the Watchdog Protection Program® as an all-encompassing way to add value to his clients current and future lives through a combination of Legal and Business services needed on a monthly or periodic basis. John A. Gibson, Esq uses his unique set of skills as an Attorney with a Sports Law Certificate from the National Sports Law Institute, personal background as a retired athlete, and professional experience working with industry leaders in Sports, Entertainment, and Entrepreneurship to solve his clients’ problems. John excels in contract negotiations and in the court room. On the business side, he has done everything from put together multimillion dollar deals, complex litigation, to winning multimillion dollar settlements.

Additionally, John is the founder of Watchdog International, LLC where his experienced Watchdog Protection Program® Team provide athletes with the knowledge they need to transition from an “Athlete” to a “Business.” John’s main goal and personal mission is to protect Athletes, Entertainers, and Entrepreneurs by fortifying their business structure, providing them with checks and balances to ensure stability, as well as advising them through licensing (Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) & Trademarks), contract services, negotiations, and legal consulting. John helps his clients achieve their off court/ field goals by creating strategic alliances and forming business relationships between his clients, their businesses, and other businesses. For Sports and Entertainment, John brings real-world experiences of consulting for and representing various Power 5 Conference College Athletes on NIL deals and contracts, working directly with NBA lottery picks and NFL 1st round picks as well as their families on contractual agreements. Further, John has consulted with and represented former NFL and NBA players in the NFL Concussion Settlement, business litigation, and family matters. Entertainment wise, John counsels various music artists, influencers, celebrities, and entertainment executives in their various contractual matters, negotiations, business litigation, and family matters. John’s clientele ranges from amateur to hall of fame athletes and aspiring artists to major record label artists!
